The Two Types of Songwriters

As a songwriter, I have always been fascinated by the different paths that lead people to this art form. Some songwriters are born with a natural talent for crafting melodies and lyrics, while others seem to stumble upon their passion for music later in life. But what I have come to realize is that there is more to songwriting than just raw talent or coincidence - there is a spiritual element at play.

When we think of naturally talented songwriters, we often imagine someone who can effortlessly create beautiful music without any formal training. It just HITS them out of nowhere!

But the truth is, even those who are born with an innate ability to write songs have had to put in the work to hone their craft. They may have started writing songs at a young age, or they may have had a parent or mentor who encouraged them to explore their musical talents. But regardless of how they got started, they have spent countless hours practicing and perfecting their craft, whether or not it felt like practice.

On the other hand, there are those who discover their love for music later in life. They may have been drawn to songwriting as a way to express themselves or to connect with others. They may not have had any formal training, but they have a deep love and appreciation for music that drives them to learn and grow as songwriters. And with hard work and dedication, they can become just as skilled as those who were born with a natural talent for songwriting.

In my opinion, all that it takes to become a songwriter is LOVING MUSIC. If you love it deeply, it lives in you.

What I have come to understand is that songwriting is not just a talent or a hobby- it's a spiritual calling. It's a way for us to connect with the divine and to express the deepest parts of our souls. And whether we are born with a natural talent for songwriting or we choose to learn and develop our skills, we ALL have the potential to create beautiful and meaningful music.

So, to all the aspiring songwriters out there, don't be discouraged if you don't feel like you have a natural talent for songwriting. Remember that it's not just about raw talent, it's about the love and passion you have for music. And with hard work and dedication, you can tap into the spiritual element of songwriting and create music that is truly beautiful and meaningful.

Ladies and Gentlemen, have you ever found yourself dreaming about your perfect wedding day, complete with the perfect soundtrack? Well, let me tell you, you are not alone! We all know the power that music can have in creating an unforgettable wedding experience.

But the best part? You don’t have to be a professional musician to make it happen!

In this blog post, I’m going to show you how to create your own wedding playlists and make your big day even more special.

First things first, let’s talk about the importance of music in your wedding. Not only does it set the mood and atmosphere, but it can also be a sentimental reminder of the day for years to come.

Whether you want to create a playlist that reflects your personality as a couple or you want to feature special songs that have meaning to you, the options are endless.

Now, let’s get down to business and create some magic! To start, it’s important to think about the different parts of your wedding and what kind of music you want to accompany each moment. For example, you might want something more upbeat for the cocktail hour, and something more romantic for the first dance.

When it comes to creating your playlists, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First, make sure you have a good balance of different genres and tempos. This will keep your guests entertained and engaged. Secondly, don’t be afraid to mix things up! You can include classics, modern hits, and even some quirky, unconventional songs. The more unique, the better!

Now, for the fun part - actually creating your playlists. You can use music streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music, or you can go old school and create a playlist on CD or USB. Whichever method you choose, make sure you have the rights to play the music at your wedding (especially if you plan on taking and posting a lot of video!).

Once you have your playlists created, it’s important to test them out to make sure they work. You don’t want to have any awkward pauses or technical difficulties during your big day. Trust me, your future self will thank you! You can always delegate the mundane tasks to your bridal party, they’re happy to help!

In conclusion, making your own wedding playlists is a fun and creative way to personalize your big day and make it even more special. So, get ready to dance the night away with the perfect soundtrack to your love story. And remember, have fun, be bold, and let your creativity run wild!
